Crystal Palace visit rivals Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon (14:00 GMT), aiming to make it five Premier League games unbeaten in-a-row. Here's what manager Oliver Glasner had to say ahead of the game below.
Last time out the Eagles produced an energetic attacking display to deservedly claim a point against Premier League champions Manchester City at a raucous Selhurst Park.
Now, attentions turn to our first meeting with the Seagulls this season, with Palace making the 45-mile journey south on Sunday, kickstarting a run of four games in 11 days.
Ahead of the game, manager Oliver Glasner discussed a range of subjects at his pre-match press conference – catch up on the key quotes below…
This week has been very positive, of course, with the three-game week and being unbeaten, having one win, two draws. That meant we could give the players some days off, which is important after busy weeks and before more busy weeks.
Then we started with some really good training sessions this week and the players worked quite hard. We all feel ready for the five games in December and hopefully many games in January too.
I know it's very important for our fans and if it's very important for our fans, it's very important for us as well, because we are one big family. We go there to take the win, to take the three points, but we also have a lot of respect for Brighton's performances.
Fabian Hurzeler is new in the Premier League and is doing a fantastic job there. They are also having many new players in the squad, but a clear structure in how they play, with a very attacking style, a lot of pace and quick players in their offence, a lot of rotation.
It's not too easy to prepare for this game because they are quite flexible, but on the other side, especially in the last games, they conceded several goals and so there will be also be chances for us and that's what we're going for, to take our chances and go home Sunday afternoon with three points in the pocket.
We [Glasner and opposite number Fabian Hurzeler] never played against each other, but he did an amazing job in Germany with St. Pauli. Also, what I always like with every manager is when you can see a clear style of playing and this is what he implemented in Germany, in St. Pauli, and what he implemented here with Brighton.
He does a fantastic job there and we had a call where we were speaking about differences between Germany and England. But during the game there's no friendship. Everyone wants to win and we will go there and we know what we have to expect.
We know that we have to perform at our very best level. I still think that we didn't show the best Crystal Palace level at the moment. It's going in the right direction, but we still have to improve in many parts of the game.
This is the next chance to show it, that we have improved, step-by-step, and are ready for all the games that are coming.
Of course, we have to train, we have to work hard, we have to get the players who were injured back into the best shape. We have some players being out for a very long time, like Cheick Doucouré, we have some players being out for just a short time to get every single player into his best shape.
This is what we will try, because we will need all of them in this busy period. We have to improve our efficiency in front of the goal. We can be more clinical in the final pass, in the finishing, in how we play in the attacking.
I love when we can compete with good teams. We love this (busy period) the players love it.
They love to play, more than they love to train. It's why we all want to be in this job. So I'm looking forward to the next week and also on to Boxing Day. It's my first experience here, everybody is full of praise about the atmosphere, about the feeling around Christmas.
It's just enjoying it, looking forward, preparing and make the best out of it. That's what are my thoughts about this period. Maybe finding one or two days, or half a day, where everybody can enjoy Christmas with their family.
The players deserve it. It's the best thing in the world you can have, celebrating Christmas with your family and enjoy this. This is what we are looking for, to make the best of this period and show our best performances on the pitch.
We let the players feel the occasion in every single game, because it's the next occasion to get three points. That's important for us.
We had good results and we are more stable than at the beginning of the season. But it's not about leaning back and relaxing. It's getting the points, improving the performances. It's the next opportunity against Brighton away.
If we can take the win, maybe it's the first gift to our fans for Christmas. Then we will try it the next time on Wednesday at the Emirates, giving them the next gift. They had to suffer a little bit at the beginning of the season, and now maybe it's time to give it a little bit back. But not just for our fans, it's also for us.
We are really very motivated for this period and this we need, with many players being available, that's important, and having the right motivation, so that we have the best circumstances to be successful. But I can talk about everything here, it doesn't matter. It's important to show it on Sunday afternoon, to show it on Wednesday evening, to show it next Saturday afternoon, and then we can say we've done well, or hopefully.
Will Hughes not just a performer, he's also a leader in the dressing room. He's an experienced guy, an English guy, he's been here for several years, he knows the club, he knows his teammates, and of course he's an outstanding good football player.
His passing, his fighting spirit, and he's one of the few players, maybe a little bit old generation, who is talking on the pitch.
Every manager is looking for some guys who are talking on the pitch, he's one of them, so he's very important for our game.
