Amidst the frantic flurry of fixtures at the beginning of the month, as Crystal Palace secured impressive results across the Premier League, UEFA Conference League and Carabao Cup, remarkable statistics were everywhere to be found in South London.

Having already this season set a new club-record of 19 consecutive matches unbeaten in all competitions, records continued to tumble for Oliver Glasner’s history-making Eagles in the weeks that followed.

And with the dust having now settled during the November international break, and ahead of club football’s return this weekend, we’ve compiled a selection of the recent statistical landmarks you might’ve missed…

Solid Deano

With his fourth and fifth clean sheets of the Premier League season coming against Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion at Selhurst Park, there is now only one goalkeeper (Arsenal’s David Raya, seven) who has more clean sheets in the competition than Dean Henderson.

The England international sits in joint-second in the Premier League standings, alongside Newcastle United’s Nick Pope and Chelsea’s Robert Sánchez. Only two other teams – Arsenal (five) and Manchester City (eight) – have conceded fewer goals than Palace (nine) so far this season.

That pair of clean sheets also saw Henderson move level with club legend Julián Speroni on 20 Premier League clean sheets for Palace. Ahead of him now stand only Vicente Guaita (42), Wayne Hennessey (28) and Nigel Martyn (25).

Should Palace remain similarly solid in the weeks to come, Henderson could soon find himself carving out another slice of history.

Fortress Selhurst

Perhaps it is no coincidence that three of Palace’s five league clean sheets this term have come at Selhurst Park: SE25 has been at its galvanising best so far this term, lifting the Eagles to new heights.

Indeed, remarkably, Palace haven’t lost any of their last 12 Premier League matches at Selhurst (six wins, six draws), the longest ongoing home unbeaten run in the division. Only between February and December 1990 have we previously enjoyed a longer run without losing at home in the top-flight (17 matches).

As for our all-time record? An almighty 32 matches in Division 3 South, back in the early 1930s.

The table below was compiled before our most recent three home league matches.

What’s more, our 2-0 win over Brentford at the beginning of the month was our 100th home Premier League in in our history.

Safe to say, we've had more than a few happy memories to reminisce upon.

JP capitalises

Jean-Philippe Mateta has certainly enjoyed playing at Selhurst Park this season – and indeed in London in particular.

Nine of the Frenchman's last 10 Premier League goals have been scored in the capital, with the Frenchman netting four in his last three at Selhurst Park.

Mateta’s six goals in his first 10 Premier League games this season was a total bettered only by Andy Johnson in 2004/05 (seven) in our history.

Three of those, of course, came in last month’s thrilling 3-3 draw against Bournemouth – remarkably, the first occasion since 1908 that a Palace player has scored a hat-trick in a home game, and not finished on the winning side.

A helping hand

Mateta’s continued excellent form in front of goal – six in 11 games so far this season – has moved him up to 44 Premier League goals for the club, second only to Wilfried Zaha’s titanic total of 68.

Christian Benteke (35), Ebere Eze (34), Luka Milivojević (28) and Chris Armstrong (23) are next in line, followed by the unlikely joint pairing of Jordan Ayew (22) and – after Nathan Collins’ error against Brentford – the ever-helpful ‘own-goal’ (22).

It’s a symbol of a side who not only are carving out regular chances – with a third-highest 19xG in the league so far this season – but are also relentless in putting their opponents under the cosh.

Set-pieces have helped with that side, too: only two other Premier League sides have scored more goals from this source so far this season (Palace have eight, Chelsea nine, and Arsenal 12). Stretching further back to the beginning of 2024/25, only Arsenal have scored more set-piece goals (27 to Palace’s 23).

Fast starts

They say that you should only truly judge the Premier League table after 10 matches of the season have been played.

After matchday 11, with only nine points separating the Champions League places from the relegation zone, perhaps that old adage can be somewhat disregarded this season.

However, at least from a Palace perspective, our 16 points in our first 10 Premier League matches this season – an improvement of nine points on last season’s tally at this stage – was our most at this stage of a top-flight campaign since 1991/92 (17), when we went on to finish 10th.

Dynamo Dani

Daniel Muñoz has certainly furthered his reputation for contributing at both ends of the pitch.

Having won the most tackles of any player in the Premier League last season (in 2025/26, Tyrick Mitchell sits second on 40, behind Tottenham’s Joao Palhinha), Muñoz has been increasingly influential at the top end of the pitch.

In the Premier League this season, the only player to make more off-the-ball runs into the opposition’s box than Muñoz (53) is Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres (57).

Amazing at Anfield

To come up against the reigning Premier League champions three times in the opening three months of the season – on home turf, away, and on a neutral ground – and to win on all three occasions is quite some feat (granted, the Community Shield win at Wembley was on penalties).

Indeed, it is a historic one – according to our records (we welcome the challenge!), Palace became the first team to defeat an opponent three times, in three competitions, at three different venues in one season before the end of October.

Our latest win, that 3-0 victory at Anfield in the Carabao Cup, marked not only the first time in our history we had won on that ground in that competition, but also our first-ever win at Anfield by a three-goal margin.

We are now four games unbeaten on Liverpool’s home turf – and speaking of the Reds…

Ismaïla Stars

Ismaïla Sarr has undoubtedly been one of the stars of Palace’s early season, particularly with his penchant for scoring against Liverpool – including the final match of last season, he has now scored a remarkable five goals in his last four appearances against the Reds, making it seven goals in nine career matches against them.

Of the current squad, only Mateta’s six goals against Aston Villa – including a hat-trick on the final day of the 2023/24 season – is a better tally for an individual Palace player against an individual opponent.

Both have some way to go, however, to better the club record: Bristol Rovers must have been sick of the sight of Ted Smith between 1912 and 1920, as the forward scored a remarkable 15 times for Palace in those fixtures!

In the modern era, Mark Bright scored eight for Palace against Luton Town; Clinton Morrison scored the same number against Sheffield Wednesday; and Wilfried Zaha the same tally versus both Brighton & Hove Albion and Leicester City.

Ian Wright, meanwhile, hit seven against Blackburn Rovers; Morrison the same against Queens Park Rangers; and Andy Johnson the same against Stoke City.

Looking ahead

Statistics, of course, rarely tell the full story – but if it’s omens you’re more trusting of, Saturday’s trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers and Molineux holds a few.

Saturday will be the third occasion that Palace and Wolves have met on that particular date (Saturday, 22nd November). Both previous games were at Selhurst Park – and both were won by Palace:
