November internationals: Eight Eagles called up

Eight Crystal Palace players have been called up to senior international squads this fortnight; find out who, below!

Justin Devenny has capped a remarkable few days with his first call-up for the Northern Ireland senior international squad.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who has captained Crystal Palace Under-21s side this season, made his Eagles and Premier League debut from the start against Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

Just two days later, Devenny was fast-tracked into the senior Northern Ireland squad by manager Michael O’Neill, ahead of decisive UEFA Nations League matches against Belarus in Belfast on Friday (15th November, 19:45 GMT kick-off) and Luxembourg in Luxembourg City on Monday (18th November, 19:45).

Marc Guéhi and Dean Henderson both earned a place in the England squad, joining up with interim manager Lee Carsley for the final time in 2024, before a new era begins for the Three Lions in the New Year.

Carsley – who handed Guehi the captaincy as manager of the Under-21s side – and his players head to Athens to take on Greece (on Thursday, 14th November, 19:45) as they look to gain revenge for the defeat at Wembley.

Then, they return home to take on the Republic of Ireland under the famous arch (Sunday, 17th November, 17:00).

Daichi Kamada has been called up by Japan, who are hoping to continue their dominant start to life in Group C of qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Japan have won three of their opening four matches, Kamada scoring for the Samurai Blue in the last round of qualifiers, and will be hoping to continue that record in Gelora against Indonesia (Friday, 15th November, 12:00) and in Xiamen against China (Tuesday, 19th November, 12:00).

The top two teams from each group qualify, with Japan five points clear of Australia after their successful start.

Also hoping to advance his team’s hopes of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be Daniel Muñoz with Colombia; compatriot Jefferson Lerma is injured for this round of matches.

At the halfway mark in qualification, Colombia sit second in the South American table, with 19 points from 10 matches – three behind leaders Argentina. They currently lie seven points within the automatic qualification zone.

Los Cafeteros face third-placed Uruguay in Montevideo on Friday night (00:00 GMT kick-off on Saturday, 16th November) before hosting fifth-placed Ecuador at the Estadio Metropolitano on Tuesday, 19th November (23:00).

Having won all three of the tournament’s editions so far, Chris Richards and Matt Turner have both been named in Mauricio Pochettino’s roster for the two-legged 2024/25 CONCACAF Nations League quarter-final against Jamaica.

The first leg will take place in Kingston in Jamaica later this week (Friday, 15th November, 01:00 GMT) before the return leg in St. Louis on Tuesday, 19th November (01:00).

The Nations League also serves as qualification for the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup, with the exact method still to be announced.

Finally, Ismaïla Sarr has linked up with Senegal, who have already secured their place at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations finals tournament in Morocco.

Senegal – who are guaranteed at least second place in Group L – are level on 10 points with leaders Burkina Faso, and face the Stallions in Bamako on Thursday, 14th November (19:00) before hosting Burundi in Diamniadio five days later (Tuesday, 19th November, 19:00).

Sarr will be hoping to add to 64 caps and 13 goals for his country during the November international break.
