Crystal Palace Under-21s centre-back Mofe Jemide has been called up to the England Under-20 squad ahead of their upcoming international fixture against Switzerland.
The young Lions will play a single match during the October international window, taking on Switzerland on Friday 10th October (13:00 BST). The game will be held at St George’s Park, England’s national football centre in Burton.
Jemide made his England U20 debut in last month’s narrow defeat to Italy at Chesterfield’s SMH Group Stadium.
Coming off the bench in the second half, the 18-year-old replaced Manchester United’s Ayden Heaven with the score level at 1-1.
No stranger to representing his country, Jemide previously earned 10 caps for England at youth level in 2022.
His early international résumé includes appearances at the UEFA European U17 Championship and an important role in England’s successful qualification campaign for the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup.
Now part of a promising England U20 side that went unbeaten during the 2024/25 season, Jemide will look to build on his debut and help the team bounce back from their recent setback as they prepare to face a strong Swiss outfit.
