Darren Powell's side concluded their three-game test against first-team sides with a spirited performance in a 4-1 defeat to the reigning champions Peterborough United, which saw them slip to third place in the group.
While the only the top two go through to the next stage, qualification to the last 32 of the tournament is still a possibility for Palace. Qualification now hangs in the balance and hinges on the outcome of Stevenage v Gillingham on Tuesday, 12th Novembmer.
In order for Palace to qualify, Gillingham must beat Stevenage 1-0. This result will put Palace level on points and goal difference with Stevenage and Gillingham, though the Eagles will be ahead of both sides on goals scored.
If Gillingham win 2-1, Palace and Gillingham will be equal on points, goal difference and goals scored, however Palace will qualify from the group by virture of having a better head-to-head record against Gillingham.
The Eagles previously beat Gillingham 3-1 at Priestfield, while they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Stevenage earlier in the tournament.
A draw, a win for Swindon, or a win for Gillingham by any other scoreline on Tuesday, 12th November, will mean that Palace will be knocked out of the tournament.
