Four Palace stars up for September Premier League awards

Crystal Palace's near-perfect September has seen the Eagles receive nominations for multiple Premier League awards – with Oliver Glasner nominated for Manager of the Month; Daichi Kamada for Player of the Month; Tyrick Mitchell for Goal of the Month; and Dean Henderson for Save of the Month.

Voting for all four awards closes at 12:00 BST on Monday, 6th October.

For all four awards, supporters' votes will be combined with those of a panel of football experts to determine the winners, who will all be revealed next week.

Oliver Glasner – Manager of the Month

With two wins – including a memorable victory against reigning champions Liverpool at Selhurst Park – and a draw in September, Oliver Glasner's Eagles remain the only unbeaten side in this season's Premier League.

Before Crystal Palace played the Reds, Slot's side were the only team with a 100 per cent record. However, Glasner's brilliant in-game management was on display as he brought on Eddie Nketiah late on, who scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner.

The Eagles' super September also included a 0-0 draw against Sunderland in SE25 – when only a fine goalkeeping display from the visiting shot-stopper kept them at bay – and a 2-1 win over West Ham United at London Stadium, capped by Tyrick Mitchell's outstanding volleyed effort.

Glasner's competition for the award comprises Arsenal's Mikel Arteta; Manchester City's Pep Guardiola; and Sunderland boss Régis Le Bris.

Daichi Kamada – Player of the Month

Daichi Kamada's excellent start to the 2025/26 season has earned him a nomination for the Premier League Player of the Month award for September.

The Japan international played a big part in the Eagles maintaining their unbeaten start to the season.

After missing the opening two league games with injury, Kamada has been at the top of his game since returning to the frame for the 3-0 win at Aston Villa back in August.

He played every minute of Palace's three Premier League fixtures in September, only narrowly finishing second in your Player of the Match vote for the draw against Sunderland.

But the midfielder did come out on top in the same vote for our dramatic win over Liverpool last Saturday, where he proved pivotal to securing the three points. Completing more passes than any other outfield player in red and blue, an all-action display saw him cover every blade of grass.

Kamada faces competition for the prize from Brighton's Yankuba Minteh; Manchester City’s Erling Haaland; Sunderland's Robin Roefs and Granit Xhaka; and Arsenal's Martin Zubimendi.

Tyrick Mitchell - Goal of the Month

Mitchell's thunderous winning goal against West Ham United at London Stadium has been nominated for the Premier League Goal of the Month accolade.

The game at the London Stadium was finely poised midway through the second-half, after Jarrod Bowen's flicked header had cancelled out Jean-Philippe Mateta's opener.

Step forward Mitchell, who capitalised on a defensive mix-up from Adam Wharton's floated cross to lash home – emphatically – a stunning volley on his weaker right foot, for what proved to be the winner in the 68th minute.

The goal gave Palace all three points and pushed Glasner's side into the top four, with the wing-back the hero of the hour.

Mitchell's strike is up against Zubimendi's goal for Arsenal against Nottingham Forest; Lucas Bergvall's strike for Tottenham at West Ham; Ryan Gravenberch's goal for Liverpool versus Everton; Anton Stach's goal for Leeds at Wolves; Harry Wilson's goal for Fulham against Brentford; Gabriel Martinelli's goal for Arsenal against Manchester City; and Igor Thiago's opening goal for Brentford versus Manchester United.

Dean Henderson - Save of the Month

Finally, Dean Henderson's outstanding save against Liverpool at Selhurst Park – at a time when his side were a goal to the good, and in the ascendancy – has been nominated for the Save of the Month trophy.

In the 19th minute against the reigning Premier League champions, with Ismaïla Sarr having already put Palace ahead, Mo Salah had a free-kick blocked from the edge of the box, and the ball spun out to Gravenberch, who set himself and fired a rocket of a rising effort goalwards.

Henderson, remarkably, sprung high to his right to get a fingertip on the strike, and turn it onto the woodwork – keeping his team in the lead, and giving them a platform to go on and dominate the rest of the half.

Henderson's save is pitted against stops from Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez (vs Everton); Leeds' Karl Darlow (vs Fulham); Manchester City's Gianluigi Donnarumma (vs Manchester United); Burnley's Martin Dúbravka (vs Nottingham Forest); and Wolves' Sam Johnstone (vs Tottenham Hotspur) for the award.
