Under-21s: Palace v Ipswich Town
Palace U21s will look to build on the momentum from their emphatic 6-0 Premier League 2 victory over Derby County when they travel to Colchester United’s JobServe Community Stadium on Friday evening (30th January, 19:00 GMT) to face Ipswich Town.
After the frustration of back-to-back postponements against Nottingham Forest and Borussia Mönchengladbach, the young Eagles returned to action in scintillating style on Monday afternoon, sweeping aside Derby with a ruthless display.
The victory lifted Palace to 12th in Premier League 2, level on 17 points with Aston Villa. With a top-16 finish – the cut-off for the play-offs and Premier League International Cup qualification – firmly the target, the Under-21s will be eager to continue their upward momentum.
Ipswich Town, newly awarded Category One status, are competing in their maiden Premier League 2 campaign and have adapted impressively. Until recently, the young Blues sat top of the table, but a run of three consecutive defeats has seen them drop to fifth on 22 points, four behind leaders Manchester United. Even so, it has been an encouraging start at this level.

Under-18s: Palace v Birmingham City
Palace Under-18s come into Saturday’s fixture full of confidence after sealing their place in the Fifth Round of the FA Youth Cup with a commanding 4-0 victory over Newcastle United on a wet and blustery Tuesday evening at Whitley Park.
Turning attention back to league action, the young Eagles will be looking to bounce back from an unfortunate 3-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion. That result leaves Palace third in the U18s Premier League South on 24 points, six behind leaders Chelsea.
Birmingham City U18s are competing in the division for the first time this season following their return to Category One status after an impressive academy rebuild. They will arrive in south London seeking a response following Palace’s 8-0 victory on the opening day of the 2025/26 campaign.
