Caribbean food has always been important to ethnic communities in the UK. In south London, boroughs such as Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark, have a large number of Jamaican and West Indian residents, and many of the high street food offerings reflect this.
At Selhurst Park, our range of food menus have been devised with the venue’s local community in mind, and we are proud of the authenticity of dishes created by our in house chef who specialises in Caribbean cuisine.
With all dishes created from raw ingredients and from scratch, our Caribbean banqueting and buffet food items range from the traditional and much loved jerk chicken and curry goat, to the more adventurous ‘Coq Au Rum’ – a delicious stew of chicken cooked with rum, all spice, tomatoes, and finished with cream. An equally hearty ‘Pork Stuffed Plantain’ which is exactly as the name suggests, is served with hot pepper and garlic sauce.
