A Mother’s Day to remember

The Selhurst Park events team have come up with some ideas to add an element of creativity to your Mother’s Day this year…

1 – Memory lane menu: Breakfast in bed is always a winner, but what about concocting a full day’s menu of meals that remind you and your mum of memorable times spent together? Try to put a twist on each meal and finish the day with a flourish with a fine dining version of your family’s favourite dish! Remember to make a small gift card for each course to explain its significance…

2 – Pick your own flowers: Instead of buying a beautiful bouquet, take your mum to a florist and let her choose her own! It needn’t be restricted to flowers – plant a tree together, buy a new garden ornament, invest in some exotic fish for the pond – there are lots of ways you can make a run of the mill gardening gift much more exciting.

3 – Football fans: Crystal Palace play at home to Southampton on Saturday 5th April (the closest date to Mothering Sunday on 26th March) so if you’re a season ticket holder or have managed to buy a couple of matchday tickets, why not make the trip to Selhurst Park extra special by upgrading to one of our hospitality packages.

4 – Pampering at home: Country and city spas are often a big hit, but if all your mum wants is a relaxing day ‘without any fuss’ then why not book a masseur to come to you? They’ll bring their lotions and potions, so all you’ll need to do is find a suitable room for the massage to take place where you can leave the pampering session in the hands of the expert…
